Quality solar installers trained in Malinyi, Tanzania

Tanzania Renewable Energy Association (TAREA) and Associazione Microfinanza E Svillupo Onlus-Italy with financial support from Waldensian Evangelica Church-Italy and Automous Province of Trento-Italy are implementing the projects Allowing access to the sustainable energy to rural-low income communities in Malinyi, Tanzania and Enlight Education.

The main activities of the projects are: (1) Support the start up phase of a cooperative of solar technicians in the village of Malinyi (2) Provide financial education to Village Community Banks in the area of Malinyi (3) Set up and monitoring a micro credit fund (definition of rules/access/agreement with local economic actors) (4) Installation of photovoltaic systems in the major educational buildings (Malinyi and Kipingo Secondary Schools, and Malinyi Teachers' Resource Centre) and (5) Improving skills and working conditions of teachers.

The project has already supported the training and establishment of 5 members of solar installers cooperative that is called Ambase Solar PV Technicians Group. The project supported with: (1) Registration to the Government Authority (2) Renting office for first 12 months (3) Procurement of standard working tools and (4) Furnishing the office

The project is already supporting the financial education to the VICOBA members.

In August, 2017 solar installations will be done at the educational establishments mentioned above.

People of Malinyi District are encouraged to use the local technicians listed below for the good results in the intention of using solar electricity. Further information is presented below.
